Glass & Mirror Options
What is the difference between standard Clear Glass & Starphire (low iron) glass?
Standard clear glass has a natural green tint due to its iron content, while low-iron Starphire glass is ultra-clear with no noticeable tint—making it ideal when you want true color clarity and a cleaner, brighter look.
What is "tempered glass" and why do I need it?
Tempered glass is a type of safety glass that’s heat-treated to be four to five times stronger than regular glass. If broken, it shatters into small, blunt pieces instead of sharp shards, greatly reducing the risk of injury. Because of its strength and safety, tempered glass is commonly used in shower enclosures, doors, railings, tabletops, vehicle windows, and even appliances like oven doors.
Can tempered glass be cut down?
No—once glass has been tempered, it cannot be cut, resized, or reshaped. All modifications must be completed before the glass goes through the tempering process.
Do you ship/loan out your samples?
Any of our regular glass and mirror samples are available for shipment/loan, pending availability. This includes, regular clear glass, mirror, bronze glass and mirror, smoked/grey glass and mirror etc.
Unfortunately any decorative/custom glass and mirror samples become discontinued regularly. For this reason, the custom samples are not eligible for shipping/loan requests.

I'm unsure of what glass or mirror option I want, how do I review some samples?
We understand it can be hard to visualize a custom product from a small image. That’s why we invite customers to view our decorative samples in our office during an appointment with one of our estimators. We’ll help you explore the options that best suit your design and space!
Upon request, our technicians can bring a selection of samples to your final measurement appointment, so you can review them in your home and see how they’ll look in your space.

Process & Timelines
What is your typical turnaround time?
Turnaround times can vary, but our standard timeframe is 2–3 weeks from the date of final measurement or project approval.
If you’re working with a specific timeline, we recommend contacting us well in advance to ensure we can meet your needs.
Do you do "on-spot" glass &/ mirror cutting?
Unfortunately, our shop isn’t always able to accommodate on-the-spot requests. We recommend contacting our office before your visit to see if same-day assistance is available.
My shower requires servicing, is this something you offer?
Yes! Adanac Glass offers service to frameless glass enclosures only. Please see below for the types of services we offer:

Pricing & Payments
How are your prices determined?
Adanac Glass prepares all quotations based on the approximate measurements you provide—the more accurate the measurements, the more precise the quote.
Once you decide to proceed and a deposit is placed, we’ll schedule a convenient time for our technician to take final measurements. The quotation is finalized only after this on-site measurement.
What is your payment policy?
A 50% deposit is due upon order acceptance. Your final balance will be charged on completion to the same payment method previously provided. Title and ownership of goods sold remains the property of Adanac Glass Corporation until account has been paid in full.
